Description: Lot of 6 Progress Russian Classics Series Dostoyevsky Chekhov Gorky Herzen Lermontov Bunin 1970's Era Hardcovers Published in the USSR Overall decent vintage condition. Wear and age here and there but mostly exterior wear, nothing awful, and they still have a pleasing appearance about them. The dust jacket for the Chekhov book is pretty rough, including a split along flap seam. I've tried to provide representative pictures of the types of flaws found in this set. The faces of the texts read very pleasantly as they have retained their brightness. Drawings, illustrations, and photographs still look great. Wear includes: rips to jackets, minor tilts to a couple of the spines, edge wear, corner bumps, etc.... A pretty neat set and a great add to any Literature collection. Might be interesting, for example, to compare translations of some of these works to others you may have read. Most have very interesting illustrations, drawings, and/or photos.
