Lot of 5 Vintage Children's Books Hardcover Whitman Classics

Description: Helping a family member downsize in preparation for a move. This is the collection she owned when she was in school. I will say all the books are in good shape--really a bit better than good considering their age. They were stored in a closed book cabinet so this has helped to preserve the books. The books include: Treasure Island 1955 Whitman Publishing--part of the Whitman Publishing collection so this one is marked with "1608" on the spine. Alice in Wonderland 1955 Whitman Publishing--also part of the Whitman Collection so this one is marked with "1616" on the spine. There is a bit of peeling on the spine --these books had a thin laminate layer covering and a bit of this is peeling. I have not touched it or attempted to repair it as some buyers want a book intact in its original condition. The Bobbsey Twins Merry Days Indoors and Out --Whitman Publishing 1950--a bit of wear at the top of the spine --see photo Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm --Whitman Classic 1960 Little Men --Whitman Publishing 1950--see photo as there is a bit of wear at the top of the spine. A really nice collection of books and authors--a window to the past. I have tried to capture all the book parts in photos, but if there is something else you would like to see, please send me an email and I can send photo or describe. What I like best is that the inside of the front and back covers --the paper is not ripped or torn or curling--it is all flat. The pages are not torn, ripped, missing or marked--just yellow ( discoloration) with aging. The spine doesn't make any weird noises when you open the book, like some old books that have been stored in dubious places. We do offer combined shipping and welcome all inquiries.
