Lot of 3 vtg AA Barbies ‘Spring Petals’ #9858 and 2 ‘My First’ #1281 &16871 NOS

Description: Lot of 3 vtg AA Barbies ‘Spring Petals’ #9858 and 2 ‘My First’ #1281 &16871, NOS. (1) Preowned, vtg ‘84 African American “My First Barbie”, easy to dress, #9858 EUC. OPEN BOX. Made in Philippines for Mattel, 1984. UPC: 07429909858. Single doll, dark brown hair and brown eyes. The box has been opened. It does show storage wear, mainly that of corner wear. The plastic is in good shape, the box has some little creases here and there. Overall, it is in very nice condition for a 40-yr old doll. Please note I list this as preowned or used because the box has been opened (not by myself) and has been taped closed again. I have no reason to believe that the doll has been played with; she is secured against the cardboard and I see the package with the accessories in the bottom. And a bit of history, this was a purchase from Thalhimer’s (southern department store chain popular in the 60s where some interesting Civil Rights events took place). (2) Vtg ‘88 adorable African American “My First Barbie” easy to dress, #1281 EVC. NOS. Made in Malaysia for Mattel, 1988. UPC: 074299012815. Single doll, long, full black hair, brown eyes. The box is in very good condition for its age (25+ yrs). You can see some expected storage wear, some small creases around the box, corner wear, and a price sticker on the bottom and remnants of a sticker on upper R of front. The plastic is in good condition.(3) Vtg ‘96 Avon Sp. Ed. beautiful ‘Spring Petals’ Barbie, African American, #16871. NOS. Made in China for Mattel/Avon. 1996. UPC: 074299168710. 2nd in Series. Single doll, long black hair, brown eyes and modern style face. Includes doll, stand, outfit, jewelry, and accessories. The box has a protective cover. The inside is in excellent condition, everything attached, nothing missing. The exterior of the box is also in good condition. You do some minimal storage wear like a worn corner and there is a little scuffing on the back side of the box but, that is pretty much it. This is a very nice doll/box.
