As part of the barn find, we received a TON of various reel to reel tapes, new and used.. We'll be listing a bunch here over the next few weeks.] This listing is for 1 lot of 3 standard 1/4" wide, 10.5" metal reels reel to reel tape. These are varying brands of 10.5" 1/4" wide reels with boxes as shown. We get used reels of tape in regularly, so we're listing a bunch here. . Some reels are full, some are almost full, some are almost empty. Note that there are more reel styles than those pictured, they were just a random sample of the tape boxes we opened. You'll get a random selection of 3 reels from the 4 boxes we received. The reels may have some writing or stickers on them as shown, but overall they are in good shape. The box condition ranges from fair to good, with almost all having some writing on the spine or the box itself. Most of the tape is back coated, and is likely to be SSS, so we are selling these for the value of the empty reels and boxes only. (don't know what SSS tape is? Check out the 'tape problems' article on our website, why a ton of tape from the late 1970s to the late 1990s suffers from Sticky, Shedding or Squealing tape.) Some tape may be fine to use, especially if it's not back coated. So, run this tape at your own risk! All of these reels came from the CBC originally, and came to us in a large lot of tape we purchased. We were told that these reels were all bulk erased. At the price, we're selling these for less than typical empty 10.5" NAB reels go for. Load on your own tape, or check out our website for new ATR tape pancakes that you can load onto these.
