Description: Lot Of 2 Pat Metheny Covers - JazzTimes, International Musician w/ Charlie Haden Mailing Labels Offered today are two magazines with covers featuring 20X Grammy Award-winning jazz guitarist Pat Metheny, both with mailing labels belonging to longtime Metheny friend and collaborator, 3X Grammy-winning jazz bassist Charlie Haden. The first is a copy of JazzTimes magazine, April 2010 issue. The second is a copy of International Musician, the Official Journal of the American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada, dated February 2012. This is a music union journal offered free to all members of the American Federation of Musicians. It is not sold in stores or on newstands. Metheny and Haden, legendary artists in their own rights, are known for their collaborations on Rejoicing (1984, ECM), Song X, (1986, Geffen) and the Grammy-Winning Beyond The Missouri Sky (1997, Verve). These copies belonged to the late jazz bassist Charlie Haden, and are from his estate. Charlie Haden's name and former mailing address are printed on a label affixed to the front cover of JazzTimes, and, in the case of International Musician, printed on the front cover itself (see photos), which makes these issues one-of-a-kind. All proceeds from this potential sale supports the preservation of the Charlie Haden estate. From time to time items will be made available to the public from the estate of Charlie Haden. These items are usually duplicates or otherwise not essential to the historical archiving of Mr. Haden's estate, but may hold interest to those who are fans of Mr. Haden or of jazz music in general.
