Description: Here's something pretty rare and unique. This is a lot of five architectural plan prints of the famous Longchamp Racecourse (Bois de Boulogne) in Paris, France, which of course is home to the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe. The track opened in 1857, and these plans are dated 12 years later, so I assume this was for an expansion or enhancement of the original grandstand. These all show tremendous detail. Four of these measure about 10"x13" and the larger one is two sheets combined so it's about 20"x13". These are all dated 1869. These are not reprints but are original prints from the time period. There is a bit of foxing on a couple of them with some minor discoloration, and one of the small ones has a tear along the edge, but overall these are in great condition and would look amazing in a frame. Shipping is $14.95. Please review the photos and use the magnify feature to review the condition. Please see our other auctions for an extensive collection of historic horse racing programs, Daily Racing Forms, trophies and memorabilia featuring horses like Secretariat, Seattle Slew, Dr. Fager, Damascus, Round Table, Dan Patch, Buckpasser, Kelso and other champions and Kentucky Derby winners. We will be selling off most of our collection over the next couple months.
