One of the books is a hardcover in its original dust jacket and the rest are paperbacks. The condition of the books ranges from FAIR to NF- (near fine minus), with my rating scale progressing as follows: FAIR . . G . . G+ . . VG- . . VG . . VG+ . . NF- . . NF A book that is in FAIR condition will have a fair bit of wear, but it will not have any flaws that would make it unreadable or horribly unsightly. The cover may be a little soiled and/or tanned from age and will have moderate or more edge wear. If the book is a paperback, there may be some creasing on the front, back or spine. The corners may have been bumped. The spine may be a little faded, slanted and/or a little cocked. Clear tape may have been applied at the top or bottom of the spine to repair a small tear. There may be a name, inscription, price or bookstore stamp inside somewhere. The pages will be tight, but they may be less crisp than when new, may show some age tanning, and may have small smudges, stains and corner folds. Two or three pages may have a small edge tear. There might be some soiling on the page edges. One book has some faint staining and light warping along the top edge of the last few pages. A book that is in NF condition will be almost like new. The cover may have minor edge wear and the pages may show a little age tanning. There may be a price sticker on the back cover.
