All have 2 long, vertical stiles and 2 short, horizontal rails except for #6 & 7 which have 3 short, horizontal rails. In between the rails are 2 thinner panels which are also solid oak boards not plywood.Boards #5 & 6 have thick, decorative appliqués on them--check out the ones on #6! Boards #2 & 3 have a decorative molding on one end which could be removed. The guy I got them from doesn't know what they were used for. He just got them out from the storage area of a church that he was cleaning out. At first glance, I thought that they were the backs of church pews since each of them has a 1" grove from top to bottom on one end of each board. I though that groove is where the board that was the seat, was inserted into. However, after looking at all of them, I think that they were used as some kind of double-sided wall paneling since #6 & 7 have light switches attached to them. Since these boards are 1 5/8" thick and 1 3/4" thick on one end, they could be used for various applications: wall paneling, benches, table tops, closet or pantry doors, cut in half and made into cabinet doors, etc.We removed the nails from Boards #1 & 2 and then it started getting dark, so we focused on taking photos. All of the boards will be shipped without nails. All of the boards are straight, strong, and sturdy but do have chips, dents, scrapes, and scratches. However, these cosmetic blemishes could sand-out before refinishing or painting them. They are at least 120 years old are in great condition considering their age.
