These were purchased at an industrial liquidation earlier this year, and they were brand new in the original factory boxes. We packaged them in heavy Ziplok bags for resale. These are for applications where a screw must be installed but it is difficult or impossible to hold the nut while the screw is started. Simply clip these over the edge of the panel opening, then thread your screws through the speed nut. We do not have any exact specs for these, however, they should work well on edges with a thickness in the range of .200" to .288" (5.09 mm to 7.28 mm). If you attacked them with a pair of pliers, you could probably customize the grip range to accommodate much thinner material.
