Description: This is a listing for a Longines Heritage 1973 Chronograph, reference L2.791.4.72.0. This watch, along with the black dial reverse panda (reference L2.791.4.52.0) was announced in 2013 and appeared in the Longines collection in 2014. It was only in their collection for one year, and has become somewhat hard to find. This is a 12 hour panda chronograph based on the Longines Conquest, a 1973 chronograph with an in-house Longines movement featuring a 30 minute chronograph. The current watch features the Longines-exclusive movement, L688.2, a column-wheel chronograph based on the Valjoux 7753.The original watch shared a cushion style case with the Heuer Camaro, though they used different movements. This one uses the same style case, but slightly increased in size to 40mm, not including the crown. Lug to lug measures 47.5mm and the thickness is 14.35mm. It is rated for 30m water resistance and features a combination of polished sides and bevels, along with a radially brushed top for a nice contrast. The movement is the Longines L688.2 column-wheel chronograph developed by Eta exclusively for Longines (though it also serves as the base movement for the Omega 3330). It is based on the Valjoux 7753 running at 28,800bph. It can be hand wound. The date is quick-set by the pusher at 10:00. It features a power reserve of 54 hours, meaning if you took it off Friday at midnight, it would still be ready to go at 6:00 a.m. Monday morning. See photos for condition, which is nearly flawless. It was purchased new from a dealer for list price of 3,250 and has been worn a total of 2 times. No significant blemishes. It comes with original tags, packaging, full set.
