Description: This is a fully polished piece of Burmite (Burmese) amber that contains a contains a very rare, Cretaceous Period Earwig insect from the Order Dermaptera. With the Earwig is a true bug and a Fulgoroid insect.This Earwig has a long, snake-like body and a pincer-like abdomen. These insects were on the Earth when dinosaurs including T-Rex and Triceratops were! The piece itself weighs 2.6 grams with approximate dimensions of 2.5 cm length by 2 cm width and 0.7 cm height.
