Description: 9-113 Today we're offering a gorgeous, antique "sweetmeat" jar or dish with a silver plate collar, lid and handle. This beautiful, iridescent, art glass dish is hand blown amethyst glass, circa 1920-1930 we believe. It appears to be an art deco piece made in the Loetz stye. It is unsigned as is the silverplate so we don't know for sure where it is from but it most likely is Bohemian glass. The peacock colored finish is primarily blue with purple and green. The design looks like sunswirls or pinwheels - very pretty! The glass is in very good condition with no damage we can find. The silver lid has a dent on the underside as pictured and perhaps some silver loss here and there. We did not polish it too aggressively. It measures approx. 5" tall to the top of the lid and 3" to the top of just the jar and lid. It measures approx. 4.5" across the widest part of the body. * No hassle returns - buyer pays return shipping. Be sure to browse our store as we will be adding much more antique glass and porcelain in the coming weeks. Don't forget to add us to your favorite sellers list!
