Fresh)Glover0:4814."Solace of You"Glover, Reid3:3815."This Is the Life" 6:23 Living Colour - Should Have Been Bigger Than It Was All these years later it is still difficult for me to understand why Living Colour dropped off in popularity as fast as they did. “Times Up” was the follow up to their multi-platinum debut album “Vivid” and to my ears is the better album of the two, but it did not perform as well and the momentum seemed to slow down significantly for the band. “Times Up” is generally a more mature and varied work than “Vivid”. The band doesn’t ignore their metal / grunge roots, but also explore a significant amount of additional musical territory. Tracks like “Time’s Up”, “Love Rears It’s Ugly Head”, “Elvis Is Dead”, “Type”, “Solace Of You” and “This Is The Life” run the gamut and further express just how talented these guys were. There are a few lesser tracks on the album, so it is not a masterpiece, but is a very strong effort from the band that should have done better than it did with the general public. Original CD (1990).
