Description: Springtails are tiny arthropods that feed on decaying matter and waste, making them the perfect "cleaning crew" for your bioactive vivarium. They are also ideal as feeders for animals that require tiny prey items. The springtails I am offering are Folsomia candida, which I have found to be the easiest to care for, and the most prolific out of all the species that I have worked with. If you can grow tropical plants in your vivarium your springtails will reproduce and do well in it! Each 16 oz culture contains damp peat moss, decaying potato for food, and about 50-100 springtails. We want you to receive healthy and happy springtails, so if it is hot or cold where you are please plan on having someone there to bring them inside when they arrive. We have a great track record with shipping live insects, but if there are any issues please contact us with clear photos of the problem before leaving feedback.
