The fuming process reacts with the natural tannins in the wood to darken the wood while accentuating the grain patterns. The dramatic figuring present in this top is called "tiger striping". This eye-catching characteristic is a result of the quarter sawing process. Finished with Rubio Monocoat 2c Pure for a smooth, durable finish that highlights the natural character of the wood while preserving the wood for years to come.
