The Passive Speaker features the same audio construction as the Pro Series speaker, without the built-in amplifier or Wi-Fi Receiver. The Pro Series Wi-Fi Ceiling Speaker supports wireless input via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as wired connections via Ethernet, optical, or passive speaker gauge wire. Simply cut holes in the desired locations in your ceiling, connect the speakers to the included Power Driver and your existing lighting circuit, and secure the speakers. The Pro Series Ceiling Speaker also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) connection through the Lithe Audio PoE Adaptor Module (sold separately). The speaker is configured from the Lithe Audio app, from where you connect the speaker to your Wi-Fi network, adjust settings, and connect other Lithe Audio speakers into audio zones. Once initial setup is complete, the speakers can also be selected via Google Home, or Apple Airplay, or Chromecast compatible sources. The Passive Speaker can be powered via the Right speaker output regardless of the Master Speaker's power supply. The Passive Speaker mounts into your ceiling with included hardware.
