Please have confidence in my 100% honest descriptions and please read the following carefully: This is an Original, No. 2056 4-6-4 "Hudson" Type Steam Locomotive, Produced by The Master Craftsmen of The Lionel Corporation, ONE YEAR ONLY in 1952. This loco & tender set are not perfect, but they are probably one of the nicest sets you will have the opportunity to purchase for a reasonable price. These items show very little signs of use and run very nicely, with the E-unit cycling as it should, forward, neutral, reverse. The headlight works, it puffs smoke and the whistle blows very strong. I believe the paint, lettering & parts to be 100% original--even the wires to the whistle! The loco and tender both come in their original boxes, complete with all flaps and no tape repairs. Both boxes have their original, cardboard inserts. The original instruction sheet, dated for 1952 is included, along with the original, 1952 64 page Lionel Instruction Booklet. The original inspection tag is included, along with the original tube of Lionel Lubricant, a partial bottle of Lionel SP Smoke Pellets and the original, wooden tamper tool. Anyway, these old eyes don't see like they used to, so I ask that you take the time to "ZOOM IN" and look the photos over very closely, to determine for yourself just what we have here.
