One of the most powerful locomotives on the modern rails, the AC6000 is equipped with a 6,000 horsepower, four-stroke engine developed jointly by the German manufacturer Deutz MWM and General Electric. These mammoth 76-foot long diesels acquired by Union Pacific and CSX carry 5,500 gallons of fuel and forty cubic feet of sand.
