Description: This wonderful, limited edition, Limoges box is Paris' famous Moulin Rouge nightclub, a popular night spot from the late 1800s, and the birthplace of the can-can dance. The front entrance has double doors with red 'velvet' curtains, posters on each side (one is by Toulouse-Lautrec), and a marquee with "MOULIN ROUGE" in red. On top is its' red windmill with a row of windows, moving blades, and a black roof. A banner with "PARIS" is the clasp. The box is 1.4" by 1.6" with a height of 3.3" to the top of the vane.
