This material was previously mined in mountainous regions of Guatemala but is no longer coming out. The supply of this stuff is very limited. Anything available now is old stock. No treatments have been applied whatsoever (save for mineral oil from cutting) and no color changing or stabilizing additives have been applied. The stones we sell have not undergone any type of processing other than traditional cutting, grinding and, in some cases, polishing. This is a guarantee.
