Description: Being offered is a Lie-Nielsen right-hand edge trimming plane, cast in bronze. It's scarce these days as it's been out-of-stock from the manufacturer for quite some time. It's in excellent condition and is a pleasure to use. As described by Lie-Nielson: "This plane is an adaptation of the Stanley No. 95, a specialty plane not made for many years. It has an integral 90 degree fence, making its primary use trimming edge stock square. With appropriate angle blocks, it can produce various angles or widen dadoes and rabbets to depth. The fence, coupled with a low angled blade, makes these jobs simple and precise, working either with or across the grain, or in plywoods. This plane also makes an effective small jointer when used with a straight edge clamped to the work. The body is cast Manganese Bronze, a hard and durable alloy that gives welcome heft to this small plane. Each tool is carefully polished to a mirror finish. Our lever adjustment moves the blade with almost zero backlash, making adjustment positive and exceptionally smooth." The body is 5-3/4" long with a cut width of 7/8" and has a 1/8" Thick A2 Blade hardened to Rockwell 60-62.
