Once the sponge is attached to the metal hook, slowly pull the wringer handle back and it will snap into place. It's always a good idea to keep a couple extra mop replacement heads on hand at all times, or to avoid cross contamination mopping different rooms such as your bathroom and kitchen. This mop head fits into most mop buckets.
