Description: Collectible plate from Liberty Church in Sandy Level, Virginia - 1854 to 1957. Back reads: This building was erected about the year of 1854. A large number of citizens of this section donated $356.00 for this purpose. This building has served as a Union Church. The land was donated by Crafton Bennette, when the church was organized there were 126 members. One of the first regular pastors was F.J. Stone, served 25 years. Abner Anthony, 25 years; Fuller Ramsey was very active in the early church and served as pastor several years. William C. Clark served 39 years. The last two were Lee Scott and R.W. Fox.
