Description: Levi’s Vintage Clothing (LVC) Cone Mills Red Line Selvedge Jeans These 501xx 1947 reproductions are considered by collectors to be the closest recreation of the original 1947 jeans. Purchased in 2004, these were made from Cone Mills red selvedge raw (shrink-to-fit) denim in the USA. Cone Mills has since closed permanently, and current LVC jeans are now made from Kaihara Japanese denim in Bulgaria. Worn from raw, these jeans have developed a stunning natural patina with rich indigo tones and impressive fades. Tag size is 34x36. Approximate actual measurements: Waist 32 in, Front Rise 11 1/2 in, Back Rise 15 1/2 in, Inseam 28 1/2 in (with a 2 1/2" sewn in cuff, easily removable by hand or tailor) These jeans are in very good vintage condition, with only a small rip in the right front upper thigh, and easily repaired by a tailor.
