Description: A beautifully detailed vintage 1995 annual collectors limited edition mixed metal media with original box and packing materials entitled "Guiding Hand" by Legends & sculptor Christopher Pardell. This sculpture is of an Native American Indian kneeling down by a young warrior, showing him how to shoot a bow and arrow, mounted on a wood base. *The wood base may have some areas that have scratches & scuffs, please see all pics.* The sculpture measures approx. 9" tall with the wood base 7" wide and 7" deep. The sculpture is stamped "C A Pardell 392/500 1994 USA Legends" see pics. This is a quality keepsake that will last a lifetime and can be handed down from generation to generation. This lovely sculpture would display great in your home office desk, fireplace mantel, man cave, cabin, paperweight art decor or make a nice gift. About the Artist: Christopher Pardell (20th century) was active/lived in United States. Christopher Pardell is known for Indians and cowboys on horses sculpture. Christopher Pardell began sculpting at the age of four, and by his teenage years, he had come to the realization that sculpting was to become his life's work. Influenced by the work of sculptors Russell, Remington and Rodin, Pardell wanted to pursue his passion for realism. His formal education was laid aside in favor of an apprentice moldmaker position with a commercial statuary company, and it was there that he received what he considers to be his "real education in art." As an apprentice to the Italian master artisans who ran the statuary, Christopher rapidly learned the skills that would enable him to become a skilled sculptor. Never sketching his designs on paper, Christopher composes all of his work in three dimensions, in a maquette.Here is some info about Legends mixed media process:Mixed media is a combination of various fine metals such as lost wax bronze, fine pewter, brass, copper, 24 karat gold vermeil and various hot torched acid patinas such as black nickel, rose copper, and turquoise, to highlight the sculpture.
