The cotton is stiff but breaks in very nicely to turn into a super comfortable and highly functional piece of outerwear. You can fit all kinds of stuff in the pockets! And the collar pops nicely if the wind picks up. Sleeve measures 25 inches from shoulder seam to cuff. Chest measures 18.5 inches from pit seam to pit seam. (This size was slightly too small for me...I'm 6 feet tall and wear this jacket tin the size 40)
