Description: Late C19th / Early C20th Japanese Imari Large ~31cm ChargerA lovely late nineteenth or early twentieth century circa large 31cm Japanese three-panel Imari charger, likely from the late Meiji or early Taisho period. There is an impressed mark to the rear of the plate that looks very similar to the katakana character marks from the Yamatoku kiln in the Saga prefecture from around 1910-1930 or it might possibly be Fukugawa? The plate is good quality and in very good condition with surface scratches in places but otherwise no chips or cracks at all. Overall a very nice plate. The plate is 31cm diameter and weighs ~1.3kg.Please contact me if you have any questions or would like further details or pictures.
