Description: Late 18th Century, original was manufactured between 1787 and 1800, American Saber. Checkered bone grip with brass chain guard topped with an early style brass Eagle Pommel. Over all length is 35 3/4 inches with a blade length of 30 3/4 inches. Scabbard is leather with brass furniture and may be either belt mounted or used with a shoulder baldric. Appropriate for use in Legion Period or War of 1812.
