Description: This is a MINT condition, beautifully contoured, one-of-kind Larrivee Stratocaster-style electric guitar handmade in the USA. Very few of these were made for about 3 years in the early 2010’s, stopping production somewhere around early 2014. It’s pretty much a custom-shop Strat at a fraction of the price. Plays great and has a buttery feel to it. Very versatile with its HSS pickup configuration and 5-way Switch controller, it makes for an awesome gigging guitar. The whole guitar was hand built by the master luthiers at Larrivee in California and it really shows from the high degree of detail and solid quality build. It comes with an equally rare Signature Guitar Company hard case. Elegant in its simplicity, the reinterpreted iconic designs have been masterfully built by the folks at Larrivee. Using lightweight Swamp Ash, each body meets specific weight standards before initial contouring begins. Pair that with a solid one-piece, hand-selected Eastern Maple neck and you have the bones for success. All Larrivée pickups are precision wound and hand assembled in house by specialized staff. Prized by any savvy aficionado, our electrics are wired with original antique paper-in-oil caps located by Mattew Larrivée out of the former Soviet Union. On a standard “S” style guitar the 5 way switch allows for 5 distinct tones (Neck, Neck-Middle, Middle, Middle-bridge, Bridge). Many players do not use the “middle only” position which lead us to eliminate it and add a Neck-Bridge position. The five positions on the Lancaster are: Neck, Neck-Middle, Neck-Bridge, Middle-bridge, Bridge. The MVP wiring allows you to get the standard strat style tones, but also that sweet Tele middle position tone.
