Description: I do not know the age of this never seen one like it brass footed box. The photos are my best description and clearly show the unique design and quality workmanship of this 13 x 9 inch dome top box. Fully lined both top and bottom in thin black felted fabric. Two side handles of chunky brass with 1.5 inch brass rings. The brass feet are triangular and are 2 full inches wide and lift the box 1/4 inch on all four sides. The box weighs near 4.8 pounds EMPTY. Sturdy, strong. The design is difficult to describe - I will let the photos cover that. There is a painted gold outline on the top of the box with fancy scroll type gold and black designs that appear to me to be hand painted. The original gold foil sticker from the manufacturer remains on the bottom. A true unisex treasure box!!
