This was purchased in Wales, from a local country farmhouse, I assume it is Welsh, but without a label - I cannot guarantee it. This is a beautiful green and white colour combination and has a diamond weave design. It would date to around the 1960's I would think but it is modern in terms of its design and would suit a range of decorative styles, from modern to vintage interiors. A perfect piece for interior design, it would look great draped over a piece of furniture. It can be displayed either side depending on your colour preference. I am unsure if this is a professionally made piece or just made for purpose, it has single stitched seam as well as a thicker seam on one edge. 2 of the corners are rounded making it perfect for a bedspread. I think this is made from a wool blend rather than being 100% wool. This weighs around 1.75kg's whereas your usual Welsh wool blanket would weigh double this. Either way this is a nice cosy addition to any home, perfect for cold evenings. Approximate measurements are 62 inches wide by 92.5 inches in length.
