Description: Pair of Large Vintage French Empire Bronze Sconces, Napoleon, Quiver, Eagle, Lion and Swan These beautiful and large French bronze sconces are designed in the shape of quivers with the tops ("fletching") of the arrows showing above. Each quiver has bas-relief patterns alternating with bands of stylized acanthus leaves and two swans serve as arms for holding the bobeches. Prominently displayed on the front of each is a coat of arms with the initial “N” - for the Emperor Napoleon - flanked by lions' heads and surmounted by an eagle, symbols of the emperor. A small stylized flower between the two swans completes the decorative composition of this handsome and impressive pair of sconces. These sconces are wired but will need the addition of light bulb sockets adapted for the country of use.They will make a very sophisticated and prestigious addition to any decor!
