Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: The price is for one large vintage hand cut silhouette. This is a Late Mid Century hand cut silhouette of a young boy. Dated May 1971. Features a hand cut boy's profile with black paper on a red background. You don't find these really large vintage silhouettes very often. Framed in a wood frame with clear plastic front. An old soda pop tab was used to hang the picture on a wall. Hand cut silhouettes have been made for at least 200 years. This is a beautiful vintage example. This silhouette is a wonderful piece of Folk Art. Vintage. Over 50 years old. Good condition for age. No damage or repairs. Some scratches on front clear plastic. Beautiful collectible example. Not an easy plate to find. Measures about 16 3/4" x 12 5/8" ( measurements include the frame). Silhouette itself is almost 15" tall by almost 9" at extremes.
