They have different types, which share a clear or transparent coloured glass base with a single or double wire, often unbroken in the twists and turns it makes as it fills the base glass. They have a widely varied, highly collectible and enjoyable character, with many different combinations of wire type, structure and colour. These attractive vintage marbles were very popular when they were made, and are becoming harder to obtain over time.
