Jon Strongbow was a fixture of the Pike Place Market community in Seattle for over 20 years, where he exhibited a collection of pen and ink drawings called the Secret City Series, produced between 1992 and Strongbow’s passing in December 19, 2022. Much of Strongbow’s art is specifically about the city he lived in, as both a commentary on and chronicle of how Seattle has changed over time. He called his work a "shamanic journey through the streets of Seattle.” comes from a family of artists and writers (his grandfather was a painter, his father a poet, his great uncle a famous pot-boiler novelist). Dropping out of high school because it was driving him mad, he entered art school where he excelled, dropped out again, traveled, wrote stories, songs, and instrumental jazz. He self-published The Fury of the Four Corners in 1988. He has supported himself as a pizza cook, a janitor, a window cleaner, and an illustrator for real estate agents **PLEASE NOTE*** I'm not a collector or expert so please see all photos for condition and let me know if you have any questions or need any more photographs.
