Description: This is a probably a polychrome antique plaque of a Dutch canal scene circa late 1800s. It could be a Tjallingii plaque. However, it is very similar to the patterns used by W. Ten Zweege of Makkum. It is not signed or trademarked. It measure 37 x 33 cm and it is 17mm thick at the rim. The plaque is in amazing condition with just a scuff mark on the very rim. See the photograph. The back of the plaque has a ridge defect near the top but is not visible from the front or sides.
