Large Antique Victorian Carved Shell Cameo Bas-Relief Goddess Psyche

Description: This is a very fine large carved shell cameo of Psyche, the Greek goddess of the soul, as depicted with butterfly wings in her hair. The carving is very detailed crisp and has good high relief. The cameo measures approximately a hair over 2" tall by 1.5" wide. It is firmly set in a 1/4" wide silver frame with a pin back. I think it is from the very early 1900's. This cameo has been in my family for several generations, but there are no further generations for me to pass it on to, so it's time for someone else to make it a family heirloom.
