Description: Fine 1960s vintage Italian modern art pottery vase.This monster classic bottle form measures 13 7/8" high and 5 1/8" wide at base and weighs 4 1/2 pounds.It is hand thrown and hand painted with stylized, modernistic flowers and abstracted patterns. Much of the decoration is a wide spread of blue and red stripes from top to bottom.All the lines on the piece are hand incised.The finishing glaze is a soft satin matte.The artist created a subtle ribbed texture going around the vase from top to bottom and the glaze it thick and sumptuous.Artist signed in black toward bottom of base.Bottom impressed: ITALY and stamped in green: HAND PAINTED.This vase has been well cared for and is in very good vintage condition with no damage or repair.Gorgeous.
