Large Imperial cloisonne enameled silver spoon by Gustav Klingert. Russian silver gilt and cloisonne enamel spoon, by Gustav Klingert, Moscow, 1892. The bowl is decorated with a multi-color scrolling floral and foliate motif within a border of turquoise enamel beads. The traditional twist handle terminates in an enamel finial. Length: 7.3/4",or 19.5 cm. Good condition, some minor enamel loss on twist handle, original and rare. Guaranteed to be authentic and antique, please see my other items ! Gustav Klingert who used to work for Faberge owned a factory of gold & silverware which was founded in 1865 and known until 1916. His factory produced a lot of silver enamel items. He had 200 workers & 45 teenagers, manufacturing items worth 400,000 roubles. He was a participant in the exhibition in Paris (1889) and Chicago (1893) where his works were granted honorable mentions. He had 4 sons and grandsons who worked together with him, one of the sons from: 1915 to 1917 was a book-keeper of the Moscow branch of the Faberge.
