Lake City Ordnance Plant was completed in 1941 and supplied various calibers of small arms ammunition during WWII. The plant went inactive in `1945, then resumed production in 1950 for the Korean War as Lake City Arsenal. Lake City was one of several suppliers of carbine ammunition for Korea, ending production in 1958. Production of carbine rounds was resumed at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in 1966 for the Vietnam War. The final lots of carbine ammunition were delivered in 1973, and the line was shut down for good.Each "Buy It Now" single purchase is for 3 unassembled cartons with a late Vietnam War era LAKE CITY ARMY AMMUNITION PLANT BALL CARBINE label. The lot number is hand stamped on the lid prior to shipping, matching an original box, or if you prefer, I can match the lot number of a spam can or crate that you may have.
