Description: 1960s or 1970s "Electric Flame" bulbs. Robert Kyp patented these in the 1960s; Globe and 'A' shape bulbs were called "Balafire," tube and flame shapes "Gas-Glo," and this is the slightly different "Electric Flame." The carbon filament moves, caused by the magnetic field interacting with a magnet inside the bulb. Only Kyp-Go bulbs had the magnet inside, knock-offs glued it to the outside. Unlike the Balafire & Gas-Glo filaments which wobble, these move in a smooth pattern, creating a flame-shaped 'ribbon of light' effect that's hard to photograph. 6-7w, rated 1,000 hours. Cherry Black is a deep purple color with a slight grayish quality. Boxes may have torn flaps and/or remnants of stickers. The bulbs were taken out just for testing. These are E12 Candelabra base (Candelabra-to-Medium adapters not included, but hardware stores & lamp parts shops sell them). I've only seen the "Electric Flame" in the flame shape bulb. I have several listed, a box lot I bought. Attention: I'll be out of town from June 14-23. I'll be able to handle shipping and such afterward.
