Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head: 'Canvas Music' Painting Original

Description: Bourne 1967- An original ‘Canvas Music’ painting of the Kylie Minogue song ‘Can’t Get You Out Of My Head’ written by Cathy Dennis and Rob Davis and painted by Bourne in 2013/2014. This stunning acrylic on canvas painting is by Bourne, the English artist who in 2009 won a prestigious International Art Biennale Award for his 2.25 metre square painting ‘Live Life Connections’. He worked predominantly from 2012 onwards on ‘Canvas Music’, a concept whereby any song ever written could be painted via various mathematical formulas, through which many of the pieces in this series were painted in either the Malta or the UK, this one in Malta. This was principally for Bourne’s 2015 exhibition ‘Canvas Music‘ at the Victoria Government Halls that ran through the entire month of September. This was followed by the related ‘Liquid Music’ extension at the Ghajnsaliem Tower in Gozo where the Kylie piece was viewable on both occasions. Artists such as Depeche Mode, John Lennon, Radiohead, Muse, David Bowie, OMD, Coldplay, Gary Numan, Amy Winehouse, Snow Patrol, U2, Madonna, The Doors, Yazoo and Eric Clapton amongst others were represented and a number of these paintings were obtained by artists including Muse, OMD and Lucinda Sieger. One of the pieces titled ‘Ice Honey Jet Lens’ (Enjoy The Silence) adorns the front cover of the Depeche Mode book ‘Violator: The Ultimate A&R Guide’ published by Glamour Puss Publishing in 2018. The Kylie work, as in all ‘Canvas Music’ pieces combines a series of mathematical formulas with elements of abstract expressionism and inspired by the formulas found in songwriting with a mathematical theme. Later, Bourne turned the whole idea of creating paintings from songs on its head as he developed a second concept to write new songs from the completed ‘Canvas Music’ pieces. The first of these released were the songs ‘Obsession’ and ‘I Rode That Tide With The Starry Eyed’ from the album ‘Peace v War’ by the eighties hit maker Karel Fialka released by PVW Records in 2016. Signed lower right which is fairly rare as the majority of Bourne’s ‘Canvas Music’ pieces are signed on the left simply because Bourne is left handed. Condition.
