Description: A nice Kunzite crystal from an old classic locality for the species, the Pala Chief mine, in San Diego County, California. There is luster on the crystal faces, albeit frosted. The crystal has good color, and a typical flattened habit for this locality. Not that easy to find Kunzites from this locality for sale today. An extra bonus is a label from the well-known German mineral dealer, Wolfgang Wendel, who himself undoubtedly got this crystal himself from an older collection.This specimen is 24 grams, or 1 3/4 oz in weight.
