Description: For your consideration I offer this very attractive hand painted Koshida porcelain tea set. This set consists of a teapot and lid, a creamer and lidded sugar bowl, and three eggshell cups. The cups have a unique shape, are translucent, and weigh only 1.8 ounces. The set was produced in Japan between 1921 and 1941 and is unmarked. All pieces are beautifully decorated with sprays of hanging Wisteria, a band of gilding on red at the edges, and gilding on the handles and base on each piece. The teapot measures 5 inches tall to the top of the lid, 9 inches from spout to handle, and holds 3 1/2 cups. The sugar bowl measures 4 1/4 inches tall to the top of the lid and 6 1/2 inches from handle to handle. The creamer measures 3 1/4 inches to the spout. Each of the cups measure 2 1/4 inches tall, 3 inches across the top, and hold 5 ounces. All of the pieces are in excellent, as new condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, crazing, stains, or loss of gold.
