Description: This is a Klee's Trule Fruit Lemon Flavored Beverage bottle cap from a cache of caps found in the basement of my 130 year old house in Terre Haute, IN. I believe it dates to 1900-1910. It is in good condition with surface signs of age on the print. According to Steve Lang of the Federation of Historical Bottle Collectors "Klee and Coleman was a mineral water manufacturer and bottler of beer and soda in Indianapolis, from 1880 to 1960 they were located on South Delaware St in the area still known as the Bottleworks District.John Klee came to Dayton, Ohio from Germany in 1866 and started a bottling company. Wanting to expand his business, John Klee and Henry C. Coleman purchased the Indianapolis based mineral water manufacturing company A. Reed & Company (1868-1879) from A.B Reed. An 1880 ad lists mineral water, sparkling champagne cider and being sole agents for Belfast ginger ale and seltzer water."
