Description: This hardback 131-page vintage and collectible wartime “Victory Garden” food planning book (copyright 1943 by Wilcox & Follett Co.) was intended to provide strategies for choosing and planting fruits and vegetables in your garden, preserving the harvested items by canning or freezing, and ways to substitute for food shortages and keep costs down. It is in GOOD CONDITION for its age. The cover is faded and the edges show minor wear from being shelved, the pages have yellowed due to age (which is common for paper produced during the war years), and no visible writing or other marks inside or out. It was passed down from my wife’s parents, who took pride in having their own large victory garden to help do their part in the war effort. With only a few other copies available online, I doubt you will find another one in equal or better condition for a lower price.
