Description: KIRON 80-200mm F/4 Macro 1:4 Lens by Kino Precision. Konica AR mount. Exc 880 KIRON is the in-house brand name for lenses sold directly by Kino Precision in Japan. Kino was primarily a contract optics manufacturer for large distributors like Vivitar and Soligor. They made some of Vivitars famous Series 1 lenses, like the desirable Vivitar Series 1 90-180mm/4.5 Flat Field Macro Zoom. This lens is old school all metal and glass. It is in excellent physical and mechanical condition. The optics are great, too, but there are these notes:a) a thin ring of haze developing around the perimeter of the front group.b) hundreds of tiny specs of something behind the front group. Might be dust or bubbles in the glass. Not sure. The are visible in the photos of the lens. The lens has the Konica AR mount, but of course be used with any mirrorless camera via adapters. This is the preferred constant f/4.0 version. It comes with Kiron front cap and hood, generic rear cap, and the original soft case. The sample snapshots were taken in heavy overcast sky, so I also took some flash shots, including photos of a Konica FT-1 camera. Thanks for looking.
