Description: King Diamond - No Presents for Christmas 12" EP (1985 Roadrunner Records)“No Presents for Christmas” was the first music released by King Diamond’s new band, after the breakup of Mercyful Fate. So this release is totally historical. Originally released on December 25, 1985, “No Presents for Christmas” is one of the band’s most well-known songs. Lyrically speaking, ok, the song is sooo cheesy but after the jingle bells stops and the evil laugh from King the riff makes the case totally serious so don’t complain for the commercial trick that King did back then. Nice song with speedy riff, great solos, solid drumming and double bass while the typical still unique falsetto singing from King. B side has a non b side at all song and one my fav from King Diamond “Charon” that will be in the debut full length album entitled “Fatal Portait” later in February, 1986. Definitely “Charon” is another great song that could easily be a single too. So as I mentioned before, even though it may be a little funny King Diamond singing about Xmas, this release is not only historical but it was worthy to buy it. - Metal InvaderRoadrunner Records / 1985 / Very Good Condition / In Original Shrinkwrap with Hype Sticker / With Protective Plastic Sleeve
