Description: Up for sale is a working Kiev 88 with a Vega 12B lens and a waist level finder. I have personally shot about 30-45 rolls with this camera having owned it for a few years. Then the camera started to slow down especially during cold weather days (20 degrees F and below). With Ukraine being in a war, I was unable to send the camera to Arax for repair due to post office not shipping there so I find a Hasselblad camera technician specializing in Hasselblad 1000f and 1600f (the camera's these were a copy of..) in Thailand and I shipped the camera there for repair. When recieving it back, the shutter was silky smooth and worked even in the cold, however, the focus of the lens and focus of the actual film is off. The camera focuses behind the subject being focused on if at closer range but will focus to infinity when the lens is stopped down. The lens was also serviced since the focus ring was a little stiff which it now is smooth but the aperture no longer works at all. I attempted to speak to the repair about about it but it seems that the technician has passed and the shop has closed. Sample photos out out of focus negatives provided (last photos) Unfortunately there is no way to have the camera and lens serviced in Ukraine since the post office + UPS + FEDEX refuse to ship to Ukraine at this time. I have since bit the bullet and purchased a Hasselblad so am offering this to a tinkerer or someone with camera repair knowledge. All the shutter speeds work great and winding is smooth. Shutter button is smooth. Viewfinder is now somehow horizonal vs being vertical before being serviced. Lens focuses smooth. Lens aperture is not working. Lens appears to have scratches on rear element when looking through light. Magazine has never been serviced and feels a little gritty when using (typical Soviet feel). Viewfinder magnifier works. All that being said: Camera, lens, magazine, and viewfinder are being SOLD AS / IS | FOR PARTS. I have no idea what the problem is nor do I want to wait for the war to end to send it to get serviced. NO RETURNS.Will ship via USPS Priority Mail.
