Keystone Stereoview the US Fleet, Sydney, Australia 1908 Rare History Set #H207

Description: This is an excellent Stereo card of Rear-Admiral Sperry and officers landing from the United States Fleet of 16 battleships at Sydney, Australia on their world tour of 1908 that included Hawaii, the Philippines, Australia, China, Japan, the Mediterranean Sea, etc. as President Teddy Roosevelt showed the world that the United States was able to protect itself by force if necessary. It was made by Keystone and is from the rare History 300 card set (the cards are numbered H1 to H300) from about the late 1930's. This set features many unique photos of people, places, events, and objects of importance in American History and contains many rare and unusual views that were not included in any other sets. This card is titled "Admiral and Officers Landing from the United States Fleet, Man-o'-War Steps, Sydney, Australia." with a Keystone negative number of 15948 and a position number of H207. It is in excellent condition and measures 3 1/2" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject.
